We're living in very exciting times. While some folks sit around wringing their hands in growing alarm because of the darkness that is obviously sweeping our nation and the world, God is calling his children to step forward in total commitment to His service. We have a job to do. This is no joke. There is no more time to wait for someone else to do something! Those who claim to serve and love the Lord Jesus are the only ones who can truly meet the challenge.
WE'RE IT!!
Many generations of Christians have done well at faithfully attending their churches week after week. But there is no more time for just sitting and soaking it in! It's time to GO. It's time to BUILD on the foundation of faith we've received after all those years of church. It's time for God's people to make their faith alive and effective by choosing to surrender to Jesus' lordship over their own lives and to become active and involved in the passion and burden of the One we claim to follow.
Tell me, what more can we possibly learn before we 'feel' qualified to finally enter the ranks of those Christian soldiers who burn with such a love and devotion to their Savior that they are compelled to.... action! Men and women, sometimes with much, but more often with little or no talent or training, struggle, yet press forward because they really, really, believe what Jesus does and says. Pointing others to the cross and leading them into a disciplined walk with the living Lord Jesus. That's it! Simple! Yet it's so incredibly powerful. Lights shining in the dark.
Guess what? When you chose to throw it all to the wind - your hard earned rights as a citizen of planet earth, all of you worries and fears, your lack of perfection and self confidence - as you let it go, you can become more and more that shining light boldly representing Jesus Christ in this ever darkening world. You can be one of those special ones who really make a difference! Go ahead, take the light that's in your heart, throw off those things that cover it. Hold your light high... and see!
